"Mind the gap"

Today was the last day of my program! My dad is on an airplane right now and he'll be here tomorrow morning! We're getting on a train tomorrow afternoon and heading to Paris for a few days and then we'll come back to London for another few days. So even though I'm coming back with my family, it won't be the same (not better or worse... just different). In the last six weeks I haven't really felt like a tourist because we have to do laundry and buy groceries and renew our Oyster cards. But when I'm in a hotel with my family it'll feel more touristy. So for our last day Ivy and I decided that we were going to be super mega tourists and visit all of our favorite spots in one day. In addition I wore my new Union Jack sweatshirt so I was hardcore touristing.

This is our bus stop. A lot of frustration in this spot
Bus 49 and I have a serious love/hate relationship. Sometimes it shows up right when I need it to. And sometimes it is too busy driving Satan around.
 First stop- The Tower!!
Stop 2- Tower Bridge
Stop 3- Our last visit to Borough Market. I will miss this place so much.
 Stop 4- The Globe Theatre
 Stop 5- Millennium Bridge
 Stop 6- St. Paul's
Stop 7- Westminster Abbey
Stop 8- Big Ben!
 Stop 9- Downing Street
 Stop 10- Trafalgar Square
 Stop 11- Trafalgar Square/National Gallery
 Stop 12- National Portrait Gallery
 Stop 13- Piccadilly Circus
 Stop 14- Made in Italy!!!
Stop 15- Covent Garden
Stop 16- Ben's Cookies
Stop 17- The London Eye
As Ivy said, it was seriously a marathon. It was ridiculously warm and humid today and we walked SO MUCH so we were happy to get back to the flat. Even though we were really touristy today, I loved seeing all my favorite places in one day. It made me appreciate how much there is to see in this amazing city. Tonight was my last time using my Oyster card! The tube and buses can be hot and crowded and somewhat perilous but I really love them.

Our tube station <3
 Last time leaving the tube
So this is the end of my amazing London theatre program. I have enjoyed myself so much and I'm so grateful for this city and that I was able to be apart of it.
