"Goats and machetes"

My first Sunday in London!

Well I got split into the ward that meets at 9 am. Of course I did. And not only that but it takes at least an hour to get to my church building. BUT I figured out how to get there on the tube all by my own self. It was a very proud moment for me because I've never done it on my own before.
My church is on Hoe Street

There are no zebras unfortunately. Apparently it means the black and white crossing stripes.

The church building

After I got home, I just waited around and did some homework until it was time to talk to Michael. It was wonderful. He skyped my mom and she Facetimed me on her phone. So I was on a phone that my dad held in front of the computer monitor. Obviously the quality was not very good but it was a miracle that I got to see a blurry image of him and hear his voice. He's doing alright. There are complications and we don't know what the future holds but I think he's enjoying it right now. Some of the things that stuck out to me: he said that they don't use lawn mowers. They just use machetes and goats to cut the grass. He's eaten stomach with peanut butter four times. Gross. The people call him Barney's gift because Barney the purple dinosaur apparently represents the US.
Loving loving loving this :)
