I took my final exam for my Shakespeare class this morning. Crushed it. Hopefully. And then Ivy and I decided to be super British and get some afternoon tea at the Orangery. It was so much fun! It's a part of Kensington Palace in Kensington Gardens literally right down the street from where we live. Unfortunately, we showed up too early for afternoon tea (which makes no sense because it was definitely after noon when we showed up) so we decided (well I decided and dragged Ivy with) to go on the adorable merry-go-round we passed.
She won't admit it but she enjoyed it.
So the horses had names. No big deal but I FOUND ONE NAMED KELSEY! What an awesome day for Kelsey's everywhere.
Some of you may know that Kensington Gardens is where James Barrie met the Llewelyn Davies boys who inspired his Peter Pan stories. You know who loves Peter Pan and all things related? This girl. So here I am in the park where it all started.
But they said I was too big to play in the Peter Pan park. Seriously. This growing up stuff is starting to tick me off.
The Orangery where we had tea today
Beautiful gardens!
And then it was tea time! As I had to quickly explain to a concerned mother, it was HERBAL tea. Delicious herbal tea that I have no regrets about thank you very much.
Mixed berry tea
My cute little scone with clotted creme and jam
Ivy dressed like a pretty girl today. And by the end of tea she was itching to get out of her dress and into something a bit more printed and... Ivy appropriate.
Then I went home to finish my last paper of the semester! Woot. And then I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The budget for this show must have been absolutely off the charts because the special effects were unlike anything I've ever seen. Side note- tonight's show was my last one while on my theatre program. Bittersweet.
It was a good day to be Kelsey.

It was a good day to be Kelsey's mom too. Thanks for taking us on this little adventure with you. I love you and miss you and am more than ready for you to be home. Have fun with your dad then come have some adventures here!!!
